Marx was born on May 5, 1818 in the city of Trier, Germany.
Marx is credited for laying down the foundation of modern day Communism as well as writing The Communist Manifesto. His main argument was that the Capitalist world order, like previous socio-economic systems, would inevitably become the cause of its own end as the class struggle would reach such levels that the workers of the world would unite and lead a revolution. The eventual result would be a Communist or a class-less society.
