The chief minister added that growers may also be invited to attend the forthcoming business conference being held in New York in October 2016.
He said this while talking to American Consul General in Karachi Brain Heath who called on him at CM House to invite him and his team for the business conference.
The consul general added that some of the important sectors that would be discussed in the business conference include information technology, education, health and agriculture. “This would be a great opportunity to tap business avenues in these sectors,” he said.
Meanwhile, the chief minister said that America was an important country for Pakistan, particularly for Sindh. “American people have helped our province in health, education and development sectors and also extended a helping hand during the heavy floods of 2010,” he said, adding that after the 18th Amendment Sindh was free to conduct trade with others countries.
Senior Minister for Finance and Board of Investment Syed Murad Ali Shah said that he would talk to agriculture experts and urge them to explore export opportunities in America.
