Substandard food: Cases registered against shopkeepers

Farhadullah stated that strict action will be taken against those who were found selling substandard food items

PESHAWAR: The district health department has registered cases on Wednesday against those selling substandard food items, including unhygienic carbonated water and adulterated milk, in violation of the food act.

Food Inspector Farhadullah Khan registered 35 cases against the traders for selling unhygienic drinks in Peshawar.

He also visited Ghanta Ghar, Charsadda Road, Kohat Road, Ganj, Qissa Khwani, Faqirabad and Nishterabad areas and registered 15 more cases. A large number of shops were also sealed.

Farhadullah stated that strict action will be taken against those who were found selling substandard food items.
