Broadsides: ‘PTI supports JI’s anti-corruption drive’
The PTI leader said the government had categorically rejected the Opposition’s ToRs
LAHORE:
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Tuesday that the PTI would continue to support every effort undertaken to eradicate corruption. Qureshi made the remarks while speaking to reporters after meeting Lahore Tax Bar Association leaders. He said the PTI completely supported the Jamaat-i-Islami-announced train march against corruption. Qureshi said the PTI wanted all those named in the Panama Papers to be held accountable. He rued that the prime minister had been keeping away from the very parliament that had elected him. Qureshi said the Opposition would continue to boycott proceedings till the PM returned to the parliament. The PTI leader said the government had categorically rejected the Opposition’s ToRs. He said it had not even examined the ToRs.
Qureshi said Finance Minister Ishaq Dar would present yet another doomed budget.
