Over time, we have all become accustomed to colour photography, making monochrome photography a difficult art to master. Images captured are produced using a single hue rather than the various colours the object was originally photographed in.

All forms of black and white are used in monochrome photography, with images containing hues of grey, sepia, brown and cyan. Advanced digital technology and an increasing interest in black and white photography has now made it easier to create monochrome images.
