The Islamabad Police have arrested a person for raping a minor. The Golra police arrested Sherzada for allegedly raping a six-year-old boy* in Bekar Fateh Bakhsh village on Saturday. He has been booked for the assault under Section 377 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Golra SHO Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam said the child was playing outside his house when the suspect offered to buy him a kite and took him to an unknown location, where he allegedly raped him. The SHO said the suspect was from Peshawar and was temporarily residing in the area.
The suspect would be presented before a magistrate today (Sunday).
Meanwhile, the police also booked five men for attempted rape. The police said that on May 2, five persons stripped down a 28-year-old man* in a car with tinted glasses in F-10 Markaz, and attempted to rape him. ASI Muhammad Mumtaz, the investigation officer for case, said the suspects recorded video of the man being stripped and then attempted to rape him, but were scared by a Rangers patrol passing through the area. They shoved the victim out of the car and escaped, said a police official. The police registered a case on Friday and identified the suspects as Azeem Khan, Ravaid, Hasnain, Hameed and Usman.
The policeman said that they were on the lookout for the suspects.
