At least two people reportedly committed suicide in separate parts of Haripur district.
In the first incident, 25-year-old Naima Bibi consumed anti-rodent chemicals in Dobandi village on Friday evening.
A police official told The Express Tribune, Rizwan, the deceased’s husband, said Naima Bibi went to her room in the afternoon.
“Rizwan said she did not come to the dinner table,” he said. “Other family members went to her room and found her lying unconscious. A small packet of anti-rodent chemicals was found on her bed.”
She was rushed to Women and Children Hospital but did not survive.
Separately, 28-year-old Adnan, a resident of Mohalla Qateel Shifai, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his bedroom.
On May 2, 17-year-old Naheed Bibi reportedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train near a railway crossing in Pandak union council.
