PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt, Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmed and Director Operations Zakir Khan will take the final decision about the lst of players to award them their central contracts.

Shoaib Malik and Danish Kaneria were not considered due to the still awaiting clearance by the PCB's integrity committee.

Imran Ahmad Khan | 13 years ago | Reply I think Mr Chaudary means Babar AZAM not our minister Babar AWAN. Babar Azam averages just 26.5 in four first class matches. No doubt he is talented but he is only 16 years old and has time on his side...he can definitely wait. By no means is he ready to play for Pakistan right now. Hammad Azam is unlucky..he was selected in the World T20 squad only to be dropped for all other assignments of the senior team. He is definitely one for the future and must be groomed to replace Abdur Razzaq. Likewise, Raza Hasan has phenomenal control on his line and length and can be a great asset in limited overs cricket. Injustice with Fawad Alam must stop. I refuse to believe that he did not warrant a place in the World Cup 30. If he is being dropped from this list too, it will continue to show the incompetence of PCB. However, I will be surprised to see PCB back-tracking so quickly by including him in this list. 20 year old Usman Salahuddin, who represented Pakistan at U-19 level and scored a hundred on the tour of England, has had a solid domestic season. His average has shot up from mid-20s to an impressive 41.16
Chaudary | 13 years ago | Reply I hope they give contract to Hammad Azam and Babar Awan and Raza Hasan, They should also consider new opener Shakeel his average in domestic cricket is 42 for his dept, We need new blood groomed.
