Ombudsman Office Clarification: Back gate only for emergencies

ISLAMABAD: With reference to a news story published on May 4, the Federal Ombudsman office through a press release has clarified that arrangements for entertaining complainants have been set up at the front gate of the secretariat. The rear entrance is not used by employees or complainants, it mentioned. The spokesperson said that the gate was to meet emergency situations only and remains closed on advice from security authorities. It adds that complainants are always instructed in call letters to enter through the front gate. It was also pointed out that drinking water is available in the building at three locations including a water cooler at main entrance. It was unfortunate that the complainant expired due to heart attack while at the secretariat, the statement adds.
