Spanish international’s contract with the Gunners expires at the end of the on-going season and he is expected to leave the Emirates. The 34-year-old has fallen down in the pecking order for Arsenal during the 2015-2016 season.

According to Daily Mail, Arteta met with Guardiola to discuss his reported role with the current Bayern Munich manager. Arteta will be looking at other offers as well which have been presented to him.
Arteta, who had a five-year contract with the North London club, was limited to 13 appearances this season for the club. The last one came against Burnley in the FA Cup on January 30 which was a 19-minute run-out.

Guardiola’s relation with Arteta dates back to 2000s when both were at the Spanish club; the former being a seasoned first-team member while Arteta was at the La Masia academy. Their amiable relation has carried on since then.
