The 6th Chairman Bahria Town Open Golf Championship 2016 started at Bahria Garden city Golf & Country Club Rawalpindi on Thursday.
A number of matches were played on the very first day of the tournament in junior professional and senior professional categories, a Bahria Town press release said.

This championship is associated with Pakistan Golf Federation and Punjab Golf Association with categories for professionals, senior professionals, amateurs, senior amateurs, ladies, and club members. The final will be played on Sunday, May 8.
On the first day senior professionals M Akram from the Gymkhana Golf Club won with the score of 70 followed by Imdad Hussain and Mehmood Kiyani with the score of 72 each. Among junior professionals, Shehbaz Masih from Karachi Golf Club is leading with the score of 74, followed by M Zubair from Karachi Golf Club with the score of 75.
Bahria Sports City to feature Pakistan’s largest cricket stadium
On Friday (today) amateurs, professionals and women will be playing in the main category at Garden City Golf & Country Club and Bahria City Golf Club, Rawalpindi, the press release concluded.
