Shraddha Kapoor’s box-office hat-trick

After ‘Ek Villain’, ‘ABCD 2’, ‘Baaghi’ also gets a double-digit opening.

Shraddha Kapoor has scored a hat-trick of double-digit openings with her past three releases, Ek Villain, ABCD-2 and the recently released action flick Baaghi. Comparing first day grosses, Ek Villain earned INR16.72 crores, while ABCD-2 and Baaghi raked in INR14.3 crores and INR11.87 crores respectively, reported The Indian Express.

With Baaghi, Shraddha successfully transitioned to an actor who has the knack for action roles.

“It is very difficult to put in words what I am feeling right now. It is so surreal and thrilling. For me, the box office collections are only a sign of the immense love and support of the audiences. It only pushes me to deliver a lot more for them each time.” She added, “Baaghi has been doing great business at the box office and I couldn’t be happier.”



With Baaghi opening very well at the box office, stakes have been raised for her upcoming film Ok Jaanu alongside rumoured beau and actor Aditya Roy Kapur. And Shraddha knows very well that the audience is expecting her and Aditya to whip up the same chemistry that made Aashiqui 2 a hit. “I do know that people are looking forward to seeing us together on the big screen once again. But Ok Jaanu is a very different film from Aashiqui 2. That was a very intense movie while this one will be more fun.” On a side note, Shraddha dismissed rumours of dating Aditya, stating there is no truth behind the link-up and they are just really good friends.

While earlier there were reports of the two having split up, new round of speculations suggest that the two are back together again. Speaking about this Shraddha said, “I am very much single. These rumours are very old now. Aditya and I just get along really well.”
