LAHORE: A judicial magistrate on Sunday sent six men arrested on charges of gambling on a 14-day judicial remand. Nawab Town police had produced the six suspects before the magisterial court. The counsel for the suspects told the court that his clients were innocent. He said that they had been implicated in false case. The advocate told the court that some unidentified people were using the FIR to blackmail his clients. He requested the court to declare them innocent. However, a police official from the Nawab Town police station told the court that the six suspects had been caught red-handed. He said that they had been arrested for violating the law prohibiting gambling. After hearing the arguments from both sides, the judge sent the suspects on a 14-day judicial remand.
