NAB chairman to be dismissed

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has approved the removal of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Naveed Ehsen.

According to officials, the summary for his removal will be sent to President Asif Ali Zardari today.


Naveed Ehsan had already offered to resign, but he was asked to continue till the appointment of his successor as per the observation of the Supreme Court. The new NAB chairman will be appointed in consultation with the leader of the House and leader of the Opposition as required by law.

C.M.Sarwar | 14 years ago | Reply Removal of the current Chairman,NAB was not the wish of the king.It was the directive of the CJ of the Supereme Court of Pakistan.The chairman was trying to protect the NRO king Zardari from accountability after the sad demise of NRO both in the Parliment and in the Supereme Court. Somebody asked Late Ahmad Faraz about his evaluation of Pakistan after more than three decades of its existence.He said that when Pakistan was born Jinnah was the President of Muslim League.Now it is headed by Ch.Shujat and you can very well imagine how miserable this nation is.Could anyone ever imagine Zardari being the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan?And Look at Gilani,the prime minister.Is he not trying to run the country like a king? Thank God,we hve got the present CJ and this Supreme Court.
s ashar | 14 years ago | Reply But he has already submitted resignation, which was not accepted, and it would supersede the sacking, in all norms and courts. WHERE IS THE LAW MINISTER CAN HE COMMENT ????
