PESHAWAR: Police foiled a terrorism bid and arrested three members of a banned outfit on Saturday. An official of Chamkani police station told The Express Tribune that the suspects were identified as Ali Rehman, Shoaib and Bashir Ahmad. “We have confiscated five kilogrammes of explosives, hand grenades and pistols from the suspects.” He added the men were travelling to Nowshera and were arrested near the Tarnab Farm on GT Road. “We have also recovered documents which mention the names of those who donated money to the banned outfit.” The official said the accused were being interrogated for further information. In January 2016, the counter-terrorism department arrested four alleged members of a banned outfit in Pishtakhara and confiscated dozens of pamphlets from their possession.
