Heritage: US Consul General visits Hiran Minar

SHEIKHUPURA: United States Consul General Zachary Harkenrider visited the Hiran Minar in Sheikhupura on Thursday. He was received by Archeology Department Director General Ejaz Ahmad. Archeology Deputy Director Maqsood Malik later took the US consul general on a guided tour of the site. He also visited the Sheikhupura Fort where renovation work had been carried out under the Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation. The consul general’s visit was part of efforts to advance shared interests in the cultural sector including preservation of historical monuments across the country.
