A resident of Regi Lalma appealed to the government and IGP to take action against the Regi SHO and superintendent for demolishing his house.
Addressing a news conference at Peshawar Press Club on Wednesday, Wilayat Khan told the media he purchased a plot 16 years ago and constructed a house on it. However, 30 days ago, a local identified as Jahanzeb claimed ownership of the property.
Wilayat said he possessed papers proving the transfer of property in his name and “Jahanzeb’s claim was baseless”.
He accused Jahanzeb of influencing the police who not only arrested Wilayat’s family members, but also demolished his house.
