Jordan visit: COAS meets King Abdullah

Asim Bajwa says king appreciated Pakistan Army’s achievements in fight against terrorism

Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, who is on official visit to Jordan, called on the Jordanian King Abdullah and discussed with him matters of mutual interests, enhanced defence and security collaboration, and regional security.

According to the director general Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt-Gen Asim Bajwa, the king appreciated Pakistan Army’s achievements in fight against terrorism and efforts to promote regional peace and stability.

The COAS also witnessed on Tuesday field exercises of the Jordanian Special Operations forces at King Abdullah Special Operations Training Centre. The army chief appreciated the state-of-the-art training facility and spoke to the exercise participants, vowing to benefit from each other’s experience in counter-terrorism operations.
