LANDIKOTAL:

New scanners have been inaugurated at Torkham to check transport goods on Tuesday morning. They were inaugurated by Customs Collector Qurban Ali Khan.

Speaking on the occasion, Qurban Ali said the modern system will curb smuggling and money laundering. He added it will also strengthen relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

He added 90% of imports and exports of Federal Board of Revenue are computerised. “Customs is the only organisation of the country that is contributing money worth billions to the national treasure,” he said.
