Deadly collisions: Four dead, three injured in DI Khan

At least four people died while three others were injured in separate road accidents in DI Khan on Tuesday.


A police official told The Express Tribune an ambulance overturned when one of its tyres burst near Mehsud Graveyard on Tank-DI Khan Road. As a result, three people died while three others were wounded


The official added, “The ambulance was taking a patient from Sarwakai area of South Waziristan Agency to DI Khan when the incident occurred.”


He added the victims were identified as Barkatullah, Bilal, Allah Hussain, Haq Nawaz, Najibullah, and Rehmat. After the incident, Tank Assistant Commissioner Zahid Khan visited the hospitals to enquire about the condition of the injured.


Separately, a speeding truck hit a motorbike in Daraban Khu village, DI Khan. As a result, Zama Jan Wazir died on the spot.


A police official said, “The deceased’s brother Sala Jan has registered an FIR against the accused truck driver. Zama Jan was an advocate and was practicing in district courts.”
