Arijit Singh's upcoming concert may be the perfect example of why you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet.

An event was recently created on Facebook inviting Pakistanis to attend the concert of Indian singer Arijit Singh in Islamabad -- which turned out to be fake.

Meanwhile, Pakistanis brimming with excitement are making plans to attend the fake concert on 28th May. About 9,500 people have clicked 'Going' on the event page, while 29,000 people are 'interested' in attending.

Diplo has Islamabad to lean on

The large-scale event caught the attention of the man himself, Arijit Singh, who received many messages concerning his upcoming concert. Thankfully, the singer cleared up the confusion through a Facebook post -- through his verified page -- in order to make sure "no one gets cheated by these fake promotions."

Arijit has sung many Bollywood hits including Dilliwaali Girlfriend and Tum Hi Ho from Aashiqui 2.
