Without a trace: Lecturer goes missing in Chamkani

As per the police official, the lecturer’s relatives said he had no enemies

PESHAWAR:


A lecturer of Government Post Graduate College, Nowshera disappeared without a trace from Tarnab Farm within the jurisdiction of Chamkani police station. He has been identified as Fazal-e-Khaliq.


A police official told The Express Tribune the lecturer’s car was found parked at a roadside on GT Road.


“His documents and laptop were untouched,” he said. “However, both of his mobile phones have been switched off.”


According to the official, Fazal was visiting his relatives at their house on Warsak Road on Saturday night. He left their house on the same night to go back home. However, he did not reach home.


His car was found parked on a roadside in the area.


As per the police official, the lecturer’s relatives said he had no enemies. However, the police suspect it could be a case of kidnapping for ransom.


“An FIR has yet to be registered by the relatives,” he said. “We are investigating the matter.”
