Pak Oasis won the European Green Era Award 2016 in Berlin, Germany on April 4, 2016 for their innovative Solar Desalination project in Tharparkar.
Excellence award: UET student awarded cash prize
According to a press release, Pak Oasis was the only Pakistani company placed among 50 companies from around the world honoured for excellence in water engineering.
Pak Oasis CEO Mr Irshad received the award on behalf of Pak Oasis in the award ceremony at the Intercontinental Hotel in Berlin.

Speaking at the Green Energy Forum earlier, he said providing the people of Thar with sweet water through the desalination project had improved their health conditions tremendously. He added that the project had also helped alleviate socio-economic conditions in the region.
