Century makers help Sindh crush Balochistan

Centuries by Khurram Manzoor and Sami Aslam guided Sindh to their first victory over Balochistan by 43 runs in their third rain-hit match of Pakistan Cup One-day tournament at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Thursday.


Batting first, Sindh posted a total of 266-4 in 45 overs with the help of an unbeaten knock by Aslam hitting eight fours and two sixes to his 12-ball 108 runs along with Manzoor smashing 17 fours and two big hits to his quick 70-ball 100 runs before the play was stopped due to rain.

Match being reduced to 31 overs set a target of 229 runs for the Balochistan. Chasing the target Balochistan were restricted on 186 in 31 overs as Muhammad Aamir and Anwar Ali took two wickets a piece giving away 19 and 39 runs respectively along with Sohail Khan, Fawad Alam, Bilal Asif and young under-19 player Hasan Khan took one wicket each.
