Woman drowns her two daughters in Kabul river

Naila pushed two her daughters in the river; third one escaped, police say

NOWSHERA: A woman allegedly drowned two of her three daughters in Kabul River on Thursday, near the Misri Banda area of Nowshera.

Police said Naila took her daughters to Shedu area, and pushed two of them in the river. However, the third one managed to escape and reached the residence of her maternal uncle.



Police and rescue officials had reached the site and began a search operation. Bodies of the minor girls were not recovered until the filing of this report.

While the mother had been arrested, further investigation into the case was initiated.
