Road accident: Four dead, one injured in Dasu

According to the official, three women died on the spot while two men were wounded

At least four people died while two others injured when a car plunged into a ravine near Dasu, the district headquarters of Kohistan, on Thursday.


A police official told The Express Tribune, the incident occurred near Othar Nala. “A family of five was travelling from Sazain village to Dasu,” he said. “When they reached Othar Nala, the driver lost control of the vehicle.”


The vehicle fell into the ravine. According to the official, three women died on the spot while two men were wounded.


“However, the identities of the deceased could not be ascertained as they were not carrying their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNIC),” the official said. “However, the injured were carrying CNICs. They have been identified as Shah Alam and Abdul Qafi.”


As per the official, both men were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital Dasu and were later referred to Ayub Teaching Hospital Abbottabad for tertiary care. Qafi succumbed to his injuries at the facility.
