LAHORE: Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah of Lahore High Court disposed of a petition seeking a ban on the import and screening of Bollywood movies on Wednesday. He told the petitioner to approach the Ministry of Commerce for redress instead. The petition had been moved on behalf of the Pakistan Film Producers’ Association. Counsel for the petitioner had told the court that smuggled Indian movies were being screened at Pakistani cinemas. This, the counsel said, was illegal according to Clause 5 of the import policy.
