KARACHI: Another Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) MPA, Ashfaque Ahmed Mangi, joined Mustafa Kamal and Anis Kaimkhani’s Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) on Monday.

At Kamal’s residence in Karachi’s DHA locality, Mangi and a number of men from MQM’s Sindh Tanzeemi Committee, and Karachi Muzafati Organising Committee announced that they are joining PSP.  Mangi said he joined the MQM to help them bridge a gap between the Sindhis and the Urdu-speaking communities. “We made MQM strong; however the bridge we created, its pillar was removed.”

Unlike other leaders joining PSP, Mangi was less critical of MQM chief Altaf Hussain. He said that he was disappointed by the policies of the party, and decided to join the Kamal and other dissidents.

Speaking at the occasion, Kamal, mostly repeated what he had said in his earlier press conference. “My aim is not to snatch power from anyone. I only want Altaf Hussain to tell the truth, the same truth which he confessed to Scotland Yard and Rehman Malik about his RAW confessions.”
