LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge has summoned a panel of doctors who had declared a blasphemy suspect unfit to stand trial. The panel has been directed to appear before the court by April 26. The counsel for the suspect, Salma Tanveer, had submitted that her medical examination was ordered after she sought post-arrest bail on medical grounds. He said that summons had been issued for the doctors who examined the suspect but the court had again fixed the case for recording of evidence. He requested the court to inquire about the medical examination before proceeding with the case. The FIR registered in the matter stated that the suspect had allegedly claimed to be a prophet.
