Pakistan’s Naimatullah Habib bagged a bronze medal at the Dubai Open 2016.


The 15-year-old athlete hails from Quetta and competed at the kata individual event.


He won bronze, while Malaysia’s Ernie Chun Cheun finished first, Italy’s Alessandro Cricco secured second place.

“Naimatullah perfomed well, it was his first time at an international tournament,” Pakistan Karate Federation (PKF) coach Khalid Noor told The Express Tribune. “He took the bronze medal and we are very proud of him. Unfortunately our women players couldn’t perform very well, but the idea was to give them the exposure first.”
