Drones deal

LAHORE: This is with reference to “The flawed drones deal” by Salman Siddiqui (May 4). I’m surprised to learn there are so many manufacturers of drone technology indigenous to Pakistan. What is the fuss all about then with the military and the government continuously asking the Americans to provide drone technology?

Wouldn't it make more sense to work with the local manufacturers and help create jobs for Pakistanis in the process? It’s a real shame that this is no being done. Let's hope there are no ulterior motives for this.
