Ridding the province of crime: Altaf wants martial law in Punjab
Altaf says says he will come to Pakistan in army uniform if he feels it is necessary.
KARACHI:
Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Altaf Hussain has said that martial law should be imposed in Punjab to rid it of crimes.
He said that if he felt it necessary, he will come to Pakistan in army uniform. He said that now people will not accept any barriers in the way of a revolution. He said that the target killers and those who are committing atrocities will not be spared and the criminals who are inflicting damages to the country will be hanged.
Addressing the gathering of reinstated KESC employees here at Nine-Zero, the party’s headquarters, he said that the KESC would also have collapsed had the workers not been reinstated. He demanded that the power utility also reinstate 216 employees.
He said that hereditary politics has been in sway in Pakistan for the past 63 years. He said that a revolution has become the destiny of the people of Pakistan and he hoped that the armed forces and the judiciary will show courage and support the masses in their struggle against feudal lords and the rich.
