HYDERABAD:

The Sindh University Teachers Association (SUTA) will continue to hold daily protests until the provincial government withdraws the notification of appointment of the pro-vice chancellor Dr Imdad Ismaili. On Thursday, SUTA announced to continue its agitation against alleged intervention of the chief minister and Sindh governor in the university's affairs.

The association backs Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academia Staff Association's demand for making the universities autonomous by changing the Sindh Universities Law (Amendment) Act, 2013, which empowers the provincial government to appoint varsities’ officials.
