Consumer Court: Notice issued over UPS complaint

The petitioner told the court that he had purchased the UPS for Rs10,000

LAHORE: A consumer court on Wednesday issued a notice to a proprietor for allegedly selling a defective UPS. Petitioner Arif Ali has sought Rs500,000 in damages from Zeeshan, who runs an electronics shop in Shahdara. Ali told the court that he had purchased the UPS for Rs10,000. “Zeeshan had assured me that he would be responsible for any fault that developed in the UPS later on. However, when I complained to him that the UPS was not working properly, he refused to repair or replace it,” Ali said. He requested the court to award him damages.
