Healthcare: CM wants liver facility completed quickly
Institute will provide treatment of liver and kidney diseases

The Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant Institute is a milestone in the provision of quality health facilities to the people, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Monday.
He was presiding over a meeting to review progress on the project. “The institute will provide modern treatment of kidney and liver diseases and free medical facilities to poor patients,” the CM said. He said that Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant Institute and Research Centre would be a masterpiece of clinical research.
“Latest medical facilities will be available to kidney and liver patients under one-roof in the institute. Undergraduate and postgraduate facilities of medical education will also be available at the institute for doctors, nurses and paramedics,” he said. The CM said that the federal and provincial institutions should expeditiously complete the project. “The government is utilising all available resources for the provision of quality healthcare to the poor,” he said.
Adviser on Health Khawaja Salman Rafiq and Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant Institute Board of Governors Chairman Dr Saeed Akhtar were present.
