The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have finally reached India for their six day royal tour. On their first day, the royal couple has already made headlines by playing a game of cricket with Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

William and Kate attended a cricket match at the Oval Maidan public park and met children from slums across the city, as well as people from the charities who work with them.
After talking to children from the slums who have been helped by the Door Step School, Kate played outdoor games with the children on the cricket field.

The Duchess of Cambridge blended Indian colour with British couture as she chose an Alexander McQueen dress for her arrival in Mumbai today. Her red, paisley-themed outfit with a shirt split at the front over a black underskirt, was influenced by Asian tradition, while the Duke opted for a navy blue suit.

The royals are staying at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai, but chose not to stay in the 15-room Presidential Suite where Obama stayed in 2010. They have instead opted for a more modest suite for them and members of their 11-strong entourage.
Kate and William plan on attending a special evening with Bollywood stars tonight. The event will raise money for charities helping street children, reports Mirror. They will meet B-town’s A-listers, including Shah Rukh Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and others.
