While many fans were excited for this coming Eid to see who would finally win at the Box office - Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan, it turns out that SRK has decided to change the release date of Raees to avoid the clash.

Pinkvilla reports that the producers of Raees have decided to postpone the release of the film by a few weeks.

Mahira, Nawazuddin in 'Raees' will help me improve my performance: SRK

"Shah Rukh's Raees is not clashing with Salman's Sultan after all. In fact, after what the clash of Shah Rukh's Dilwale with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani did to the former, Shah Rukh was opposed to the Eid clash. It was producer Ritesh Sidhwani who insisted they won’t budge," a source told Pinkvilla.

Raees is likely to be postponed by two weeks and instead, will be clashing with John Abraham's Dishoom (July 29) or Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro (August 12).

"Raees has moved out of what is traditionally Salman's release date (Eid). It will now take on some other film like Dishoom or Mohenjo Daro," revealed the source.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees is an action-thriller, featuring SRK opposite our very own Mahira Khan, along with Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Here's how Sunny Leone reacted when she met Shah Rukh Khan

The shoot for director Rahul Dholakia’s upcoming film Raees starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been wrapped up.

The Chennai Express star says he will “miss the laughs, intensity and the kohl.” He even praised his unit from the film.

“Finished Raees. Maybe a bit of patchwork left if any. Will miss the laughs…the intensity and the kohl. Thanks to the sweetest unit ever. Love you,” he tweeted on Wednesday morning.

This wouldn't have been the first time the two Khans battle it out at the Box Office. In 2006, Shah Rukh’s Don and Salman’s Jaan-E-Mann had released around the same time. While Don was a hit, the latter failed at the Box Office.
