A Tarkhani police spokesman told newsmen that parents of the 22-year-old woman had arranged her marriage with a resident of Chak 52-GB. The wedding was scheduled for Sunday. The spokesman said the girl was unhappy with the engagement and had asked her parents to break it.
The spokesman said angered by this, her brother had shot her, killing her on the spot.
