Your stars today

April 09, 2016

Aries | March 20 – April 18

By no means are you rigid in your thinking or habits. Yet, still, you could regard sudden developments and the changes they’d require as a nuisance, if not a real problem. Although they’re bound to seem that way now, once you’re actually involved, you’ll realise how much potential they have.

Taurus | April 19 – May 19

Few things are as frustrating as those who make decisions, but won’t explain why. They won’t admit this, but they don’t actually understand what was behind their thinking themselves. For now, say nothing. Raise the matter from time to time. Eventually others will be ready to talk things over.

Gemini | May 20 – June 19

After weeks of being short of facts, a remarkable series of events will change everything, in some cases overnight. While what arises will be exciting, and in some cases offer remarkable opportunities, most will be such a surprise that initially you’ll have no idea what to think or do about them.

Cancer | June 20 – July 21

As appealing as the idea of finalising plans may be, it’s unrealistic. Knowing that, whether you’re making arrangements for today, or for the distant future involve long range plans, waste no time working out details. While this will be somewhat unsettling, it also means you’ll be able to move swiftly when you need to.

Leo | July 22 – August 21

Every once in a while it’s worth examining how wisely you use your time. While you undoubtedly think about your schedule, your daily routine is another matter. Some of these activities are crucial. Others were in the past, but no longer are. Yet they remain part of your everyday life.

Virgo | August 22 – September 21

Few phrases are as pleasing to a Virgo as those that refer to finalising plans. It means your facts have been gathered, options explored and ideas turned into a solid arrangements. Except with your ruler Mercury forming a series of powerful aspects, then going retrograde in late April, changes are inevitable.

Libra | September 22 – October 21

Difficult as saying a firm no to an idea or offer may be, it can eliminate a great deal of time-consuming discussion. The irony is, because the foundation on which arrangements are based is itself changing, your refusal will be negotiable anyway. It just means you won’t waste time on pointless conversations.

Scorpio | October 22 – November 20

Ordinarily you’d never make a plan or commitment without knowing exactly what’s involved. Yet the current swift pace gives you no choice. The trick is to outline your objectives now. Then, in a few days, when things are clearer, deal with the details. Strange as this seems, it will work brilliantly.

Sagittarius | November 21 – December 20

Exciting as the ideas and offers you’re exploring may be, you owe it to yourself to consider whether you have the time and, indeed, energy to take these on. If not, don’t worry. You need only rethink your current commitments. Some would benefit from exactly this variety of examination anyway.

Capricorn | December 21 – January 19

Every once in a while, destiny itself decides it’s time to make some changes. That seems to be the case now, especially in matters that involve your domestic or working life. Disruptive as these seem, once you begin rethinking arrangements, you’ll realise those changes aren’t just wise, they’ve overdue.

Aquarius | January 20 – February 18

Few things are more upsetting and, often, puzzling than a sudden and completely unexpected clash with a close friend or loved one. However, this is triggering a timely review. Because you’ve ignored a variety of seemingly minor differences, tensions have built up. This will do wonders to clear the air.

Pisces | February 19 – March 19

Psychologists call it ‘delayed gratification’ but many simply refer to it as self-discipline. This means having the will power to put off certain activities that lift your spirits and focus instead on pressing, but vital, dull tasks. Tackle these now. They’ll be done and dealt with before you realise it.
