BAHAWALPUR:

Police from Rahim Yar Khan and five other districts have been hot on the heels of Chotu Gang in the Kacha area of Sindh-Punjab border for over a week.

A few days ago, a six-year-old was playing in front of her house when the police got into a shootout with some suspects. The girl was badly injured and the police claimed that the shots that injured her had been shot by ‘criminals’.

Not much has been achieved in terms of arrests so far. Police officials from six districts had launched a joint operation in the Kacha Area over a week ago with the intent to decimate criminal gang hideouts.

Police have surrounded the river bed area and alleged hideouts of robbers. Rahim Yar Khan DPO Zeeshan Asghar is also a part of the operation.

He told the media that no criminal would be allowed to leave the area and that they would find their hideouts soon.
