In a first, KU cricket tournament open for female students

The tournament is organised by All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organisation every year for the last 14 years

Female students participated for the first time in University of Karachi's annual event 'Paigham-e-Aman Cricket Tournament' on Wednesday.


The tournament is organised by All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organisation every year for the last 14 years. "This is the first time we invited girls to participate in the tournament," said one of the organisers, Sheharyar Jahangiri.

According to the tournament's main organiser Sheharyar Ghous, a registration form was uploaded on their official Facebook page to invite girls to register their teams. "We received registrations for around 30 teams and short listed 16 from them keeping in view the time slots for match," Ghous said.
