CHAMAN: An Afghan intelligence agent was arrested on Wednesday by security forces near the Pakistan-Afghan border region of Chaman.

According to initial reports, the suspect is a serving member of the Afghan intelligence and was arrested during an operation conducted by Frontier Corps (FC).

‘RAW officer’ arrested in Balochistan

The agent, who has not yet been named, was in possession of several explosives, ammunition and weapons, an FC spokesperson told The Express Tribune. The said agent has been handed to authorities and further investigation is underway.

Tehran probing whether Yadav crossed border illegally

The arrest comes almost two weeks after RAW agent Kulbhoshan Yadav was arrested from the same region near Balochistan.

Yadav, arrested on March 3, was deployed in Iran’s Chabahar port before crossing into Balochistan to meet some separatist leaders.

Days earlier, Iran conveyed to Pakistan that it is investigating whether the Indian spy arrested last month crossed the border illegally or was picked up from its soil.

    Both countries are at undeclared war with each other, says the Afghan President. This should be taken seriously.

    That tells you something about Iran’s attitude – and it doesn’t appear to be “pro Pakistan”. Recommend

    @Iqbal: We don’t need to show explosive material on Afghan or Indian agents to prove their bad intentions towards Pakistan. Former US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel surprised no one in the world when he said India uses Afghanistan as a base to conduct cross border problems in Pakistan. These Afghans have been working for their Indian masters since 1947 which is the root cause of the problems which have engulfed Afghanistan. Instead of working to make lives better for Afghans successive Afghan leaders just keep doing India’s bidding which just blows back on them. As the saying goes, you play with fire and you get burned yourself is what Afghans fail to understand. Look at the poor state of Afghans now. All of them seem to be trying to go abroad illegally and become refugees in Europe, North America or Australia. It’s time to ship back the millions of Afghan refugees living in Afghanistan, seal the border like the US has done with Mexico and close transport to them.Recommend

    @Maria:
    Don’t point your fingers at Afghanistan all the time and don’t forget that 130 Pakistanis were deported from Europe just 3 days ago.

    and over 270,000+ KPK citizens are immigrants in Afghanistan without any documents, you should understand that those poor Pakistani citizens didn’t come on their own will but because of current military operation going in their area. Afghanistan been hosting them for more than a year and we never said a single word about Pakistanis being a burden. So please stop being negative all the time and pointing fingers is not good when you are in the same position… 1000s of Pakistanis are leaving Pakistan everyday because of corrupt Pakistani government and worst life there… If you are living a comfy life – that doesn’t mean other Pakistanis are having the same life.

    @Iqbal:

    Maybe you would like to have him around your family with whatever gadgets he has. FC stopped a potential attack and massacre like the one in Lahore and you are speaking of innocence? That is the problem with people, they dont realize their foolishness until its too late.

    If the charges are indeed true, he should be interrogated and hanged asap. No more place for people seeking to cause trouble in Pakistan anymore. And if you dont like it here Mr. Iqbal, you are welcome to go live a “happy” life outside.

    You keep respecting every human being, even the ones that seek to kill you and let Army and Intelligence turn them into a crisp.Recommend
