Chakwal police station: Rs35m spent on incomplete building

The RPO said that the project had taken more time and money than it needed

CHAKWAL: Rawalpindi Regional Police Officer (RPO) Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja on Tuesday expressed annoyance at the substandard construction of a new police station building he had gone to inaugurate in Chakwal. The RPO unveiled the plaque of the new building of Dhudial Police Station but found that substandard material had been used in the construction. Raja also ordered inquiry into the project. Chakwal district police officer Muneer Masood Marth told the RPO that Rs35 million had been spent on the building over the last three years. SDO building said they needed another Rs4.4 million for the remaining work. The RPO said that the project had taken more time and money than it needed and observed that substandard material was used in the construction.
