Crime Operation against Chotu Gang underway

Maikan said 110 facilitators and abetters of the Chotu Gang have been arrested in the operation

A police-led operation in the Kacha area of Rajanpur district against the notorious Chotu Gang has entered its second week. Police said 1,600 law enforcement personnel from seven districts had participated in the operation.


“We have surrounded them on all sides,” Rajanpur DPO Ghulam Mubashir Maikan said on Monday. Maikan said 110 facilitators and abetters of the Chotu Gang have been arrested in the operation. He said the police had surrounded more than 60 wanted bandits of the gang in the Kacha area. He said that the operation had been launched after the Chotu Gang took over some police check posts in Jamal I and Jamal II in the Bangla Acha area of Kacha Jamal.
