Tragedy : Three women killed in AJK accident

The police have taken the injured rickshaw driver into protective custody in the hospital where he was being treated

MUZAFFARABAD: At least three women were killed and three others injured in a road accident in Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), on Friday. Police said an auto-rickshaw was on the way to the new city area from Mirpur when it fell into a deep ravine near Pothi, killing three women on the spot and injuring two men and a woman. Locals pulled the bodies and the injured from the ravine and shifted them to Mirpur District Headquarters Hospital. The injured were stated to be stable. The deceased women were identified as Naseema Bibi, Zareena Bibi and Munaza Bibi while the injured as Shahnaz Bibi, Allah Ditta and rickshaw driver Salamat. The police have taken the injured rickshaw driver into protective custody in the hospital where he was being treated.
