A meeting of the committee, presided over by Chairman Ghaus Bakhsh Mehar, was held at the Pakistan Steel Mills in Karachi recently.
Federal Minister for Industries and Production Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani announced in the meeting that enhancement in the mill’s production capacity was necessary and that there would be no downsizing.
He said that the management will achieve targets for the current year and turn it into a profitable organisation through a long-term strategy and positive steps.
Bijarani added that the sale of products, export of coke breeze and profitable trade agreements will have a positive impact on the country’s economy.
Mehar, while praising the mill’s management, said that production and efficiency will increase because of its bio-metric system and effective use of manpower.
