RAWALPINDI:

The police have not yet arrested three suspects including a religious seminary teacher for allegedly molesting a nine years old boy.

The Civil Lines police had filed a criminal case under Section 377 and 506 of the Pakistan Penal Code against Qari Umer, a teacher at the seminary, Raja Latif and Sohail Majeed.

The child’s father, a labourer, in his application told the Civil Lines Police that his nine-year-old son studied at the seminary for around six months.

He said that on March 19, Latif who works at the seminary allegedly came to his house and asked his son to come to the institute when he was not home.

Latif told his son that he was waiting for him at the seminary.

Later, he said, his son told him that the three men forcibly subjected him to sexual abuse and physical assault.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Rafaqat Ali who is leading the investigation told The Express Tribune that the medical report of the child confirmed that he had been subjected to sexual abuse.
