ISLAMABAD: The residents of Saidpur village and adjoining areas have asked the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to take notice of the fresh water pond filling with sewerage water.
The mixing of sewerage water into fresh water stream coming from Pir Sohawa to Saidpur village is also posing health hazards, residents told APP.
The villagers said that the fresh water stream was the only source of drinking water for the residents of Saidpur village which is now turning into filthy water pond.
Upon inquiring with the locals it was revealed that private restaurants have been dumping its sewerage waste in the water stream.
Earlier the stream water was used by the villagers as a drinking water source and for recreational purposes.
