Sindh government announced a public holiday across the province on Monday, April 4, to mark the 37th death anniversary of Pakistan Peoples Party founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, a former prime minister of Pakistan.
According to the notification issued on Wednesday, all Sindh government offices, semi-government, autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils under the administrative control of Sindh government will remain closed on the day.

he Sindh government has released Rs25 million to cover the expenditure of Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) founder and former president Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s death anniversary event.
According to the official documents, the funds have been released by the finance department after Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah approved the summary.

In the document, finance department section officer (B and E-VII) referring to the chief minister’s summary said, “The amount has been sanctioned in anticipation of budgetary provision 2015-2016 and will be released from law and order budget.”
Talking to The Express Tribune, PPP Sindh information secretary Waqar Mehdi said, “Not a single penny has been released by the provincial government and all expenses will be borne by PPP,” he said.
