KARACHI: I admire Veena Malik and she really stood up to the maulvi on a television show on January 21. An actress's job is to act out a role to the best of her ability and that is what she was doing on “Bigg Boss 4”. Why should she be burdened with upholding Pakistan's ‘izzat’ — whatever little of it is left, that is! She has performed in two to three Lux Style Awards and has always carried out instructions and been a thorough professional. We need more like her and Meera and Reema — sadly one cannot see anybody else coming through to replace these performers.
